Project: Recruiting
Project Coordinator: Jim Perlaki Project Members:
The goal of the recruiting project is to identify and reach out to individuals/organizations that will be able to further the mission of the OCSPC. Special effort shall be paid to recruiting populations not already represented in the coalition.
Examples: · Veterans · Veteran’s health care providers · Native Americans/Groups · Survivors · Students · Seniors/Retirees
Current activities: · OCSPC · OCSPC · OCSPC
Future activities: · Develop a database and a data collection tool · Begin extracting data from Medical Examiner files · Make contact with ER’s · Make contact health insurance providers
This project directly or indirectly address the following components of the Oakland County Suicide Prevention Plan V1.0:
GOAL #1: Develop broad based support for suicide prevention 1.4 GOAL #2: Promote awareness and reduce stigma 2.3, 2.6 GOAL #8: Improve access to and community linkages with mental health and substance abuse services. 8.1, 8.2 GOAL #9: Provide support services to families, schools and others who had a relationship or involvement with victim. 9.1, 9.2, 9.3, 9.4 |
